A kinetic model and an equilibrium model were used for H2 \u0026#8211; O2 system analysis. It was shown from the kinetic model calculation that the transient time needed to attain the chemical equilibrium condition is less than 10−4 seconds. This time is relatively small in comparison with the time constants of flow characteristics such as convection and pressure wave propagation. This result means that if the time step width chosen can be larger than the time needed to attain equilibrium, the equilibrium model is appropriate as an approximated combustion model in fluid flow. 内容記述 | Applicability of a chemical equilibrium model is discussed with regard to the problem of transient combustion. A kinetic model and an equilibrium model were used for H2 – O2 system analysis. It was shown from the kinetic model calculation that the transient time needed to attain the chemical equilibrium condition is less than 10−4 seconds.
