 note = {Takamasa MITANI, a Christian thinker and a of philosopher of law in modern Japan, inquired into the Being which gives the ultimate basis for his self, and found that “the Deity” as the Absolute Other in the depth of one’s soul gives transcendental value to personality. On the basis of such a spiritual experience, he sought to put this “logic of faith” into practice in dialy life and also tried to systematize it in his philosophy of law. Contrary to his intention, however, his logic of faith was finally overwhelmed by that of political logic of modern Japan.},
