This stands on two bases: one is the Christian spirit and the other the New Democratic Constitution. On the one hand, we are heirs to a long tradition of Christian Social Work. On the other, we take the Constitution seriously. We take the ancient dictum, “Salus Populi Suprema Lex,” (The People’s welfare is the supreme law) as the motto of Human Welfare at Seigakuin University. Social workers should not be “specialist without sprit,” (Max Weber), but “specialist with sprit”. Seigakuin resists every “dehumanizing” trend. We educate Seigakuin students in the direction of “humanization.” We emphasize that social welfare workers are the ones to realize the ideals of the New Constitution (rich nation and just welfare) over against the previous model in which soldiers were to realize the ideals of the Old Constitution (rich nation and strong militia).}, pages = {251--257}, title = {人間福祉総論という講義}, volume = {第11巻}, year = {2000}, yomi = {オオキ, ヒデオ} }
