The structure of management is influenced by various factors related to corporate governance. In general, opinion is divided on what kind of corporate governance should be desirable. It is the recent trend that the Anglo-Saxon style is becoming more popular than the Japanese one. We should, however, refrain from judging the economic rationality of the management style by its popularity because that innovation cycle and administrative strategy could possibly change the effectiveness of the management style.
