In particular, healthcare-based QOL investigations of patients and their families are crucial for the  omprehensive provision of care to patients suffering from varied ailments and their families. This study analyzed and classified the extant research related to children using the QOL scale. This research was conducted in Japan over the last decade. It examined the potential directions of prospective QOL studies of children and their families. The outcomes suggested three possibilities: First, studies targeting fathers in addition to mothers are expected. Second, the developmental stages of children, and the factors that affect QOL must be investigated.
