His epistemology is rooted in the experience of the “ultimate concern,” which is Tillich’s concept of faith. For Tillich, the fact that the split between subject and object is overcome implies mysticism; therefore, he calls the Augustinian tradition mystical and, in this sense, acknowledges that he himself belongs in this Augustinian tradition. However, if we compare the thinking of Augustine and Tillich regarding mysticism and salvation, which is strongly related to mysticism, they are not necessarily the same in every respect. This paper deals with Augustine’s and Tillich’s understanding of mysticism and salvation, and clarifies the similarities and differences. In the process the position of Tillich’s theology in the Augustinian tradition is examined.}, pages = {19--38}, title = {ティリッヒの神学におけるアウグスティヌス的伝統について : 特に神秘主義と救済論をめぐって}, volume = {第5巻}, year = {1992}, yomi = {キクチ, ジュン} }
