The degree of damage done to eight fishing villages within the territory of the Association varied from village to village. Two villages were totally destroyed, while one village on a steep slope did not receive severe housing damage. Since fishermen’s houses were located near the coast, some 80 percent of fishermen’s families lost their houses to the tsunami and are now forced to live in temporary housing. Fishermen undertook damage repair of aquaculture facilities in an unusually collective manner both last year and this year, while individual fishing activities will restart next year. Hindrances to recovery of fishing include 1) the requirement of huge financial resources for recovery despite a decrease in revenue, 2) the advanced age of fishermen and lack of successors to carry on their occupation, and 3) delays in the reconstruction of fishing villages.}, pages = {129--144}, title = {東日本大震災被災地の漁業の復興について : 釜石市の場合}, volume = {第25巻}, year = {2013}, yomi = {タイラ, ノブヒサ} }
