 note = {日本の企業における情報システム化は1950年代から始まった。1950年代に入り事務の効率化のためにコンピュータを利用したEDPS(Electronic Data Processing System)が導入された。しかし,経営への本格的なコンピュータの利用はMIS(経営情報システム)が提唱されてからである。我が国における経営情報システムは,MIS使節団の訪米を機にブームとなった。MISの概念やMIS使節団の提言は,現在も経営情報システムを検討していくうえで有意義である。本稿では,MISのでてきた背景をみることによりMISの理念を再考し,MISの原点に立ち返り,その今日的な意義を確認する。, The first information systems in Japanese companies were established in the 1950s. The EDPS (Electronic Data Processing System), which used computers to improve office efficiency, was also introduced into companies in Japan in the 1950s. However, full-scale use of computers for management in Japan did not occur until after the MIS (Management Information System) had been introduced. The use of the management information system in Japan boomed once MIS officials had visited the U.S. on a fact-finding tour. It is important to consider present-day concepts of MIS and current MIS mission statements when examining the management information system. This paper reconsiders the concept of MIS by examining the background from which the MIS emerged. One has to go back to the starting point of the MIS in order to ascertain the contemporary significance of the MIS.},
