Thegoal is to create an atmosphere where exchanges of ideas contribute to a healthy and stimulatingenvironment. This in turn could result in fostering global minded young Japanese who can playactive roles in the international affairs. This writer believes that the Global 30 Project shouldinclude all Japanese universities. The writer examines elements that contribute to development ofinternational understanding and cultural competence among students.},
