We found that, for children in Japan,the amount of exercise, activities, and outdoor playing was low, and the amount of watching TVand playing computer games was high. Children were getting plenty of sleep, but it was pointedout that wakefulness in the morning was poor. In China, the level of physical activities and theamount of sleep were low. Moreover, a significant change in the living environment in China wasobserved in rural areas where modernization was in full force. This tendency could cause varioushealth problems for children in the future.
