| 内容記述 | 本稿は，児童書における読みやすさのためのカッコの利用に焦点を当てたものである。まず「坊っちゃん」を資料とした。「坊っちゃん」の定本，大人向け文庫本，複数の児童書におけるカッコの用法の違いを分析し，語の解説や思考を示すカッコの存在を確認した。次に，30種の児童書を対象に，カッコの用法を調査した。そして，削除可能なカッコ，他者の身振りや表情からの解釈を示す様態解釈のカッコ，人間以外の事物の発話であることを示すカッコ，用語提示のカッコがあることが明らかになった。 | |||||||

| 内容記述 | This study focuses on the use of parentheses in children’s literature to enhance readability. First, the use of parentheses in Botchan is analyzed by comparing between the standard edition, which is an adult-targeted paperback, and multiple children’s books. Differences in their usage are examined, which confirmed the presence of parentheses used for word explanations and expressing thoughts. Next, a survey of parenthesis usage in 30 children’s books is conducted. The findings show parentheses that can be omitted, those indicating interpretive gestures or the expressions of others, those presenting speech from nonhuman entities, and those used for introducing terms. | |||||||
